Birthday Parties... so much fun!

When I was a kid I loved planning fun birthday parties.  I always remember my Hawaiian-themed party... all the girls dressed in grass skirts and flower leis.   We had a blast doing the hula and acting silly.

I also LOVED being invited to a party in which I could bring something home with me.  So the next time your daughter, niece, cousin or friend is having a party with a bunch of excitable girls let me know!!  If you want to keep them occupied for a few hours while you have that well-deserved glass of wine, I will take over...but I might need a glass of wine afterwards!!

I will bring beading supplies, feathers, clips and string for each girl to make her own one-of-a-kind jewellery piece or hair accessory that she can bring home.  I will help each girl bring out her creative side to create something special.

My cost is reasonable and depends on the number of children and where the party is located.

Spring is in the air!

Well, I am finally feeling like spring is near.  Since my own wedding plans are arranged (we have decided to get hitched in Las Vegas!!) I now have some more free time to get back into designing, which I am sooo looking forward too.  With the longer days and sun shining in my studio window it makes me feel inspired to create!

Below is a hair piece that I've just made for a customer (she's coming to pick it up this weekend) I think I'll make one very similar for my wedding day.  Remember to tell your friends are are getting married or have a special occasion coming up that my pieces are very reasonable and can be custom made to your specifications.

Enjoy the sun and warmer weather, soon it will be spring!!

Until next time,

Happy Valentine's Day

Just a quick note to spread some love on love day.  I woke up to a pleasant surprise this morning...a beautiful pair of gold hoop earrings from my fiance.  I love him so much, and the earrings too!

Have a great Valentine's Day!  Wishing you love and happiness always.

I'm back!

So I'm back.... I've definitely taken a long break, longer than planned.  I have a good reason though...really.  Just before Christmas my boyfriend decided to finally pop the question, and I replied "are you sure?".  Then of course, I said "yes".

Since then I have been busy getting wedding plans arranged.  We are pretty much booked for September 2011.  Still some confirming to do.

I've created the invitations, got the dress and now I have to start thinking about my jewellery and hair accessory - so back to the grind.  I have to admit, I've missed getting attacked by beads, feathers and wire all at once.  Honestly, you should see my studio, it is crazy insane.  And I'm not talking about a big room, only about 10 x 12, so it's that much more overwhelming.  There are half completed projects all over the place.  I need to focus....focus!!!  I'm feeling over my head just thinking about it, but that's half the fun...daydreaming about what I could be doing instead of being at work...:)

I need to post some new photos soon, hopefully this weekend when I get into my jewellery room and clean it up!

Until next time,

C
